What are the costs of contract registration and stamp duty?
For monthly rentals, whether for an entire apartment or a single room, the fee for mandatory contract registration varies depending on the rent and must be paid upon signing the contract and, subsequently, annually upon renewal. The stamp duty, however, must be paid only once during contract registration and amounts to 34 euros.
What documents do I need to rent an apartment or room?
Depending on whether your stay is for a few days or more than a month, all the information requested, as well as the documents, are mandatory and required by the Italian government. We generally require an image or PDF of your identity card or passport and, if you have one, your tax code. These documents are necessary so we can begin preparing everything necessary to finalize your stay (for rentals of less than 30 days) or the rental agreement.
How can I pay the deposit?
The deposit can only be paid through traceable transactions (bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal), and not in cash. The best and simplest solution will be agreed upon when the rental agreement is drawn up.
